Notice of Interim Measures of Two Separate Nucleic Acid Tests (PCR) for China-Bound Flights Departing From New Zealand

2020-11-04 11:00

In order to reduce the risk of the cross-border transmission of COVID-19, the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand issued the Notice on Airline Boarding Requirements for Certificates of Negative Nucleic Acid and Anti-Body Blood Tests Results on 30 October. In view of the fact that the COVID-19 IgM anti-body test is not available now in New Zealand, the following adjustments is made on obtaining the green health QR code for Chinese nationals or Health Declaration Form for foreign nationals :

I. Travelers departing from New Zealand on China-bound flights after 0:00 on 7 November 2020, should obtain the green health QR code or Health Declaration Form by providing two separate nucleic acid test reports. The specific requirements are as follows:

1. Both nucleic acids tests must have the specimen collected and tested within 2 days before boarding China-bound flights, and must be conducted by different laboratories. The two specimens should be collected with proper time interval.

2. If unable to have the tests done by different laboratories, the travelers should have the second specimen collected on the following day after the first specimen is collected. For example, if a flight is scheduled on 10 November and the first specimen is collected on 8 November, the second specimen must be collected after 8 November, and each specimen should obtain separate reports of negative results.

When requesting for the Health QR code with ‘HS’ mark through the International Health QR code in the Wechat mini program, or Health Declaration Form, please use the date when the first specimen is collected as the date of collection. For example, if a flight is scheduled to depart on 10 November, the first specimen must not be collected before 8 November. The date of 8 November can be used for the request.

3. After receiving two separate reports of test negative results, please request the green health QR code for Chinese nationals, or Health Declaration Form for foreign nationals according to the Notice announced on 31 October 2020.

To avoid any delay of check-in at the airport, please make sure you have obtained the green health QR code with ‘HS’ mark, or Health Declaration Form with you before going to the airport.

II. In order to reduce the risk of infection of covid-19 after completing the test, please avoid attending any mass gathering and wear personal protective equipment before boarding the flight.

III. All the other measures in the Notice on 31th October remain unchanged. This interim measures will be invalid once the COVID-19 IgM anti-body test is available publicly in New Zealand.
